My first published pattern!
Something exciting happened recently and I am finally able to share it! I had one of my patterns accepted to be in a Knit Picks pattern collection. It's called the Under 100 Collection since all of the patterns use 100 grams or less of yarn. My pattern is called the Diamond Cowl. It is a simple cowl with seed stitch details that form diamond shapes across the main part of the cowl.
Knit Picks provided me with some beautiful pictures of the finished cowl. Some of these photos appear in the book, catalog and on the website.
I gave one of the cowls to my mother for Christmas. It saved me a bit of time since I had already finished the knitting when working out the pattern. All I had to do was pick out some buttons to go with it. Blue is one of her favorite colors, so it worked out perfectly.
Copies of the book version of the collection arrived on my doorstep on Christmas Eve. What a fun Christmas gift! I've sold several digital patterns, but it is something entirely different to see something that you wrote in print.
I am currently in the process of working on a pattern for another Knit Picks collection and hope to do more soon. I'll share more after they are released!
