Booties, squishies, headbands and such
I just finished some adorable booties for my cousin's new baby! The first pair of pink booties I made turned out super tiny. They are very cute, but I was worried about them fitting, so I made another pair. I ended up with two larger pairs for my cousin and one small pair for my etsy shop.
My cousin also has a two year old boy and I thought it would be nice to make something for him. These squishies were very popular with my nephew, so I decided to go with them. As with the booties, I made one set that ended up a little differently than I had planned, so I made two sets. The rainbow colored ones are now in my etsy shop and the blue, green and white ones will be on their way to my cousin soon. I really love the three color combination and I'm currently making a green, white and pink set.
I've also been trying to make more things to go in the shop at Glory Days, though with all my other knitting I've only been able to finish a couple of items. A few headbands and hair clips are done and some more are in the works.
I also finally finished a farmer bunny that I've been working on for a while. It is the second one that I've made, the first was a few years ago. The bunny pattern is the same one by Debbie Bliss that I use for most of my bunnies, but the hat and overalls I designed myself. It took me a little while to figure out the overalls and hat again. I couldn't find anything written anywhere that said what I did the first time. Since it was so long ago, I'm not even sure that I wrote it down. Lesson learned and more bunnies to come!
